It was reported that a TV and telephone conference concerned for further mobilization of units verification issues for official registration of the third national economic census was held in Chenzhou city on November 15, 2013. As stated on the conference, the units verification work plays an important role in economic census project. According to the time schedule, the third national economic census would be launched in the beginning of 2014.

It is a major national survey to handle the third economic census deployed by the State Council. It is purposely to investigate the development scale and layout of the secondary industry and tertiary industry of China and learn more details of current condition of industrial organization, structure and technology and composition of the factors of production.

Before the official registration of the economic census, it is necessary to handle the units verification issues to learn the details of the units basic information to upgrade the quality of economic census.

The census agencies for economic census have been fulfilled in the 11 counties and districts and 203 villages and towns of Chenzhou. 1566 census instructors and 5002 census takers have been selected accordingly and facilitated with relative training courses. Further work on approval, assessment, supervision, reward and punishment, propaganda, and etc. would be carried out forcefully in next stage.
