When reporters arrived at Chaping Yao minority village of Zixing city, villagers were busy in decorating their newly built houses and trying to move to the new houses before Chinese Spring Festival. Because of the geological potential risks for its former residents in the 800 meters high Luoxianling, 371 families of the village moved to new places and rebuild their new houses accordingly. Panwang temple, Museum of Yao minority culture, and some other characteristic places are under construction, which would be helpful to forge a Yao minority featured village.

Followed with the central government’s concept on regulation of rural housing issues, Zixing city explored some new methods and modes to handle out the rural housing work on the rural areas’ practical condition. Besides the above Yao minority featured village, a unified rural housing project on Songjia group of Dongjiang street are carrying out well currently. 

Meanwhile, Zixing city worked together with Chenzhou Planning and Design Institute to figure out a set of house designs on the basis of local practical condition and specified standards. All the designs were collected together for the families to choose their favorite one and follow to build it accordingly.

Till now, over four concentrated rural housing areas’main body construction have been finished. Some supporting work as road construction, greening work, lighting project, etc. are under the construction process. Zixing city’s rural areas are with new images.
