It was reported that inauguration ceremony & first general assembly of Chenzhou Economic and Cultural Development Research Association was held in Chenzhou city on December 7, 2013. Over 70 people who were interested in the research of economy and culture attended the ceremony.

With the significant progress in economic filed in recent years, Chenzhou city became one of the important parts on Hunan province development. Under such kind of developing trend, some experts of theory education, principals of economic and cultural departments and businessmen were hoping to form a link between theory and practice and between upper level government and grassroots. It was purposely to carry out the deepening studies on the new situations and problems occurred on Chenzhou city’s economic and cultural fields and on law of Chenzhou city’s economic and cultural development under the background of industrial transformation to present more development suggestions to Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Chenzhou Government. For this reason, some experts and businessmen took active actions on handling the preparation work of establishment of this research association from 2012. After the investigation held out by Chenzhou Municipal Association of Social Science on preparation work of establishment of this research association, it was confirmed to carry out establishment issues.

“Regulations of Chenzhou Economic and Cultural Development Research Association”(draft)and“solution of selection of members of first assembly of Chenzhou Economic and Cultural Development Research Association” (draft) were approved on the conference. Cao Shizhu- Principal of Xiangnan University was elected as the Director of Chenzhou Economic and Cultural Development Research Association. Some members of the council, executive deputy director, administrative deputy director, deputy director and general- secretary of the association were elected out on the conference as well.
