It was required on Qu Hai’s investigation trip to Dongjiang lake

It was reported that Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City took an investigation trip to Dongjiang lake, Zixing city to check its work on water environment protection and Dongjiang river water diversion project.

Qu Hai stepped on Dongjiang lake damn to check the shipping and tourism development’s influence on water environment. After seeing some oil contamination on the surface of the lake, Qu Hai asked the principal of Zixing city to upgrade the standard of access of the ships immediately and specified that all new ships must be powered with environmental protection energy and some old unqualified ships should be upgraded or abandoned accordingly.

Qu Hai also visited some newly built stores of Doulv island and chatted with some of store owners there. Qu asked all local people to be the propagandist, adviser and supervisor to protect Dongjiang lake consciously.
Qu checked the water point of Dongjiang river water diversion project by boat afterwards. Till now, this project has been approved by Hunan Provincial Development and Reform Commission and its construction has also been approved by Hunan provincial departments.

After listening to the working reports addressed by relative departments, Qu pointed out that with great efforts of relative departments, significant progress were achieved on the protection of Dongjiang lake water environment and Dongjiang river water diversion project. Concerning for further protect Dongjiang lake water environment, Qu Hai required that all departments should pay more attention on the ecological construction; should accelerate the industrial transformation; should enhance environment protection; should implement ecomigration and help the people move out from the risky geological disaster areas; should form a long term management and protection mechanism to carry out the treatment of Dongjiang lake legally; should figure out the coordination mechanism between regions and departments; and should establish an efficient supervision mechanism.

Concerning for Dongjiang water diversion project, Qu asked that all departments should work together to ensure it to be launched next May successfully.

Qu expressed his willing at the end of his investigation that strict protection, comprehensive retreatment and scientific transformation should be carried out in the protection of Dongjiang lake.

Some municipal leaders of Chenzhou city accompanied Qu with this investigation.
