Chenzhou Power Company firstly reached the goal to set the payment service points in every village of Chenzhou city
Some villagers of Xiuliu village, Zixing city were paying the electricity fees on the payment service point
Some automatic payment terminal windows were set near administration center of village committee, school, shops, etc. Villagers are able to pay electricity fees on their way to send children to schools or buy things on stores.
Huang Caigui- a 76-year old villager of Xiuliu village, Zixing city said gladly to the reporters that: “it is so convenient to pay the electricity fees with this payment service point. I just finished it within 2 minutes. I have to go outside by ship and walk 2-3kms to pay the fees in earlier days, which would take more than half a day to handle it. I often felt sick after taking ship.”
Not just the villagers benefited from the convenient payment service, the staffs of the power company felt easier to handle the payment issues. In earlier days, villagers usually delayed to pay the fees for they have to go outside the village. Now facilitated with the POS machine, villagers can handle the payment in minutes, which made them to be more active to pay for it.
From the beginning of 2013, Hunan Chenzhou Power Company placed much more efforts and investment on the construction of payment service points in villages. It was purposely to solve the problems for villagers’ inconvenience on paying electricity fees. On December 14, 2013, it reached the goal to set payment points in every village of Chenzhou city successfully. It became the first one of Hunan province even 6 provinces of central China to reach this goal.
Chenzhou Power Company selected Suxian district as the pilot place to set payment service points there, because there were too many villagers lived in remote area in this district and it would be the most difficult area for them to meet the target. With the experience of Suxian district service points construction, the company successfully handled out all the setting issues on every village of Chenzhou city. Now, many automatic payment terminal windows were set near administration center of village committee, school, shops, etc. Villagers are able to pay electricity fees on their way to send children to schools or buy things on stores.
According to the record, 2675 payment service points have been set in 1598 administrative villages of Chenzhou city till December 13, 2013, including 40 business halls, 84 self-support service stations, 292 collecting stations of bank (including Postal Savings Bank), and 2259 automatic terminals. 100% administrative villagers of Chenzhou city were covered in the payment service points network, which indicated that Chenzhou Power Company successfully met the target to set the payment service points in every village.
Gui Jianhua- Deputy General Manager of Chenzhou Power Company said: “Though currently all administrative villages were facilitated with the service stations, some villagers who live in remote areas are still not so convenient to handle the payment issue. So we will keep fighting for the target to set the service stations in every natural village. ”
