Fighting for “Establishment of National Sanitary City”

Recently, a joint action was handled out by all departments of Beihu district city management system to fight for the work of establishment of national sanitary city. This action focused on comprehensive sanitary regulation of villages in the city and rural-urban joint parts.

 

In order to ensure that Chenzhou city would pass the initial declaration of establishment of national sanitary city, Beihu district city management system launched this kind of action from last December 10. More than 20,000 copies of “a letter to all Chenzhou citizens (owners)” were dispatched throughout the district to call more citizens to join in this establishment work and contribute their efforts on it.

 

Followed with the suggestions and feedback figured out by some national and Hunan provincial experts on establishment of sanitary city and "National Sanitary City Standards" , Beihu district figured out a detailed working plan. Detailed working divisions were listed in the plan for every staff to handle out their relative work accordingly, such as regulation of environment around schools, farmers’ markets and street markets, sanitation management, protection and maintenance of public facilities, management of parks and greening land, etc.

 

Till now, more than 500 illegal stands on the streets, 125 flow booths, and some stores out of the farmers’ market areas have been banned legally. Strict regulations were followed to keep the sound environment condition of Gaobi Bus Station, Tianlong Bus Station, Railway Station, schools, etc. At the meantime, over 500 garbage trucks were renewed to serve for Beihu district. More than 5,000 square meters illegal buildings were demolished. A standard and long-term supervision and management mechanism was followed to handle muck issues.
