It was reported that in order to upgrade the capacity of flood and fire control team of Suxian district, an emergency demonstration training for Suxian District Militia Company was launched by the headquarters of Suxian flood, drought and fire control department on May 21, 2014 in Qiaokou town.

Due to its unique geographical and topographic features, Suxian district was suffered from frequent flood and fire disasters, which caused great losses for local people’s safety, economy and society. According to the data, over 40 forest fire cases happened in Suxian district in 2013, which destroyed 3500 hectares forest, accounting for over 100million yuan losses.

It was introduced that this training would last for 10days. The key courses for this training were professional operation of flood and fire control, full-scale excises, theoretical knowledge, operation of different emergency equipments, gunnery training, and etc. Concerned for the flood control training, common sense of emergency rescue, operation of speedboat in water, life saving, antiskid with pilling, and some other courses would be trained during this training period. Concerned for the fire control training, common sense of emergency rescue, cross-forest and cross-county excises, operation of chain saw, pneumatic extinguisher and fire fighting truck, development of fire belt and some other courses would be trained during this training period. Emergency aggregation, aboard, fast operating, organization and command of emergency rescue and other courses would be carried out for full-scale excises during this period
