It was learned from Pingtianling village, Panjiang town, Jiahe county where is a mountainous area that a 3-meter long concrete highway with over 1.2million yuan was opened to public recently. From then on, all villagers can go outside with this sound condition road.

By seizing the chance of establishment of Hunan demonstration county of overall development of urban and rural areas, Jiahe county kept the target of “one county, one city” and garden construction to handle the construction work and greatly upgrade local people’s living condition. About 100 well-being projects including hardening of village roads, drinking water supply, lighting-up project of village roads, public bus plan, water conservancy project, small gardens and parks construction, and etc. were carried out in the county every year. It was learned that over 70% of the increasing part of county’s finance were placed to the well-being projects.

On the basis of local practical condition, some new forms of construction were handled out in the county to attract more entities to join in the construction work. Over 3.1billion yuan was collected by the county in recent three years to handle the well-being projects. Concerned for the integration of water supply in urban and rural areas, over 150million yuan was collected to build 6 water plants around the county, which benefit 77% villagers of the county. At the meantime, over 256million yuan was collected to handle the lighting-up projects of village roads, water conservancy projects, village renovation and some other work. 

Over 120 greening landscapes and 850 small parks were build in the county, which enabled the county to be with one landscape every 500-meter service area. According to the data, people’s index of living was two times of the three years ago. Some villagers said there was no difference for them to compare with the people who live in urban area.
