“Special planning for Chenzhou urban sports facilities (2012-2030)” was issued to public

It was learned from Chenzhou Municipal Bureau for Urban Planning that “Special planning for Chenzhou urban sports facilities (2012-2030)” was issued to public recently

According to the plan, the per capita public sports land would be 1.5square meters/person, which would meet the standards of establishment of “sports city”. It aimed to reach the target of 3.0square meters/person for the per capita public sports land in 2030, which would facilitate Chenzhou people top level sports facilities in Hunan province and even China.

Three sports centers as the Chenzhou Third Middle School Sports Center, South Chenzhou Sports Center, and Xiangnan University Sports Center were planned to be established recently (2015), which would be facilitated with stadium, gymnasium, swimming pool, shooting gallery, and etc. At the meantime, more sports facilities of 32 community level sports places would be facilitated with basketball court, volleyball court, gate ball court, ping pang ball court, badminton court, playground, outdoor comprehensive fitness square, outdoor fitness facilities, and etc. by combining with parks, gardens, squares, landscapes of rivers, and others.

Concerned for the long term plan, a balance spatial layout of “one center, one axis, two districts, five groups”for sports facilities would be formed in central urban area of Chenzhou city in 2030. One center referred to the municipal sports center, one axis referred to the horizontal axis of Chenzhou Avenue, two districts referred to east and west districts, and five groups referred to old urban group, Chengqianling group, Huaishuxia group, Baishui group, and Donghe river group.

According to the planning, “five horizontal and five vertical” fitness path network would be formed in Chenzhou city in 2030 as well. “Five horizontal” referred to the fitness paths of Xuzi road, Suxiangling travel road, Qingnian Avenue, Chenzhou Avenue, the joint line of Wuguang new district and Xiangnan Logistic Park to Wangxianling travel road. “Five vertical” referred to the fitness paths of Nanling Avenue, Chengjiang river, Xihe river, Donghe river, and 107 national road surrounded Chenzhou city.
