It was reported that a working conference concerned for the promotion of parks and gardens construction in Chenzhou city was held recently. It was purposely to investigate the construction situation for 2014“greening city construction” activity (forth phase) in urban area.

Some principals of relative departments visited the projects construction site to check the progress of the projects and learn some problems hindered on the way.

According to the planning, 37 projects on construction of parks and gardens were arranged for the fourth phase work. Till now, 13 of them have been finished, 9 were with rapid progress, 10 were handled slowly and 5 were without progress. The 13 completed projects were as follow: ramp garden in west district, Yashi bridge garden, upgrading project of Ailian park, upgrading project of Liuxianling park, greening work from small Suxian of Suxianliang to Qingnian Avenue, Chenjiang river landscape, upgrading project of Xihe beach park, upgrading project of the west bank of Chenjiang river, upgrading project of Boliping park, Xihe wetland park, Xihe Kangle park, culture park, and Donghe wetland park. 5 projects which were without progress were as follow: Xianling lake park, hot spring culture park, Haiquan park, children’s palace garden, and Mingjiu garden.

The owners of the projects without or with slow progress explained the reasons caused the situation on the conference. The attendants discussed the problems listed by the owners and presented some solutions to solve them accordingly. It was required that all the projects should be started in this August, and all the principals should investigate the projects on-site to solve the problems at the first time. It was also required that the high-temperature season was coming, all the owners and units should fight hardly on drought control and protection of greening work.

Some municipal leaders of Chenzhou city attended the conference.
