Clear and tidy Guoqing south road

“Less rubbish makes the road clearer”, “no roadside business, asphalt pavement, wider road surface and etc. make us feel comfortable while walking on the street”, “my parents live in Hengyang city. Every time when they came to visit me, they were surprised to find the fast improvement of the environment condition”…… All were the changes of Xiangnan International Logistic Park after handling the work of establishment of civilized city. Reporters visited there on August 28, 2014 and found the great changes of the park.

First: less rubbish makes the road clearer

“It was used to be so many rubbishes there, I have to work for more than 7 hours to finish cleaning all, but now just 2 hours are enough for me.” said Ms. Yang- who is the cleaner of Xianquan road. As learned from Ms. Yang, it was much easier for her to clean the roads now for more frequent watering and more frequent sanitary checking handled out by the leaders of the park. People got used to collect the rubbishes and threw them to the nominated place, so she can collect them easier.

“From the beginning of 2014, regular and random sanitary checking work was handled out by our park. Specified rectification measures were figured out after the checking, and the enterprises were required to rectify all in limited time.”

Second: brighter street lamps and wider roads

“Guoqing south road was not so bright in earlier days, and Xianquan road wasn’t facilitated with street lamps, not even the security patrol, so we often felt unsafe when walked back home at night.” Li Yanxin who worked in Hunan Ziyu Company said gladly to the reporters, “now the street lamps are much brighter and roads are wider. Sometimes, we can enjoy the fragrance on the road.”

When reporters drove on the cross of Guoqing south road, they saw a stone marked the letters of “湘南国际物流园”(“Xiangnan International Logistic Park”) was set among the greening trees. Such artistic image impressed people with a greening image of the international logistic park.

Zhou Hao still remembered the days when the park was with poor environment condition. In order to upgrade the environment, the industrial park carried out an upgrading and rectification project in Guoqing south road and Xianquan road. The concrete roads were upgraded to pitch roads, all street lamps were upgraded as well and more greening areas were increased there. Furthermore, the traffic signs and lines and more public bus stops were set there. Because of all these development, Guoqing south road and Xianquan road became the demonstration windows of Chenzhou city’s establishment of national civilized city. People who lived there can enjoy a more greening and leisure life there.

Third: no ashtrays in the office, so it is more comfortable to work here

“To speak civilized languages, to act civilized behaviors, and to be civilized citizens”, when reporters arrived at Xiangnan International Logistic Park, they saw such LED screens were kept showing the public ads. Galleries, stairs and other places were shown with the public ads.

Reporters also noticed that there was no ashtray on the offices now, and some ads “no smoke” were pasted on some noticeable places instead. Furthermore, special smoking room was set there. This kind of civilized and harmonious condition grants the staffs with a comfortable working condition.

At the meantime, some regulations on dressing, behavior, sanitary work, and etc. were specified by the management center of the park. Regulated sanitary patrol measures were carried out there as well to ensure all the enterprises settled down here to be with comfortable and livable working environment. 24-hour patrol mechanism helped to grant the staffs with a safe environment.

More volunteers were enrolled into the sanitary project to guide the residents of the park to behave more civilized.

Now, the Xiangnan International Logistic Park was tidy up with smooth traffic situation and beautiful scenery. It was the good result of the establishment of national civilized city.
