It was reported that the on-site scheduling conference for comprehensive treatment project of Xihe river (Xihe river’s water ecology scenic belt) was held on September 15, 2014. All attendants investigated the progress of Guiyang- Yongxing section and handled the on-site dispatching for the problems found on the construction site. Liu Hesheng- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee required that comprehensive treatment project of Xihe river should be improved to be an excellent project with specified targets, rapid progress and high quality.

All the four counties and districts which were related to this comprehensive treatment project of Xihe river paid great attention on it to promote it stably. The attendants visited Jiefang village of Guiyang county, Sanhe village and Chaotian village of Beihu district, Zhuangmen village of Suxian district and Baokou village of Yongxing county to check the progress of this project and learn more difficulties and problems hindered on the way.

Currently, concerned for Guiyang section, 11.3kms long soil roadbed has been shaped for the inter-city green channel project and some initial progresses were gained for tourism road project; for Beihu section, 6kms long clearing work for green channel and 4kms long roadbed has been filled; for Suxian section, an assessment work would be handled for all three bidding sections; and for Yongxing section, fully treatment work has been handled for the pollution sources along the project, over 2000 old and dangerous houses have been removed from the viewable area of the project and 700meters long demonstration part of tourism channel have been finished as well.

Liu stated that the comprehensive treatment project of Xihe river should be improved to be a water ecology scenic belt, new rural construction demonstration belt, overall development of urban and rural areas demonstration belt and regulated rural housing demonstration belt. All counties and districts should accelerate the construction speed with good quality, perfect the preliminary work of the project and seize the time of best construction season to improve the project to be an excellent project. All relative departments should try their best to support the project construction with favorable policies and provide the project with sound construction condition.
