It was reported that 2014 forum for urban development and ecological balance was held in Beijing city on September 28, 2014. Chenzhou city was honored as the first batch model city of establishment of ecological civilization.

This forum was with the theme of “building new homeland with ecological civilization together”. Guided by constructing urbanization with the foundation of ecological balance, the relationship between urban development and construction of ecological civilization was discussed on the forum, especially from the aspects of greening construction, ecological development, ecological planning, ecological protection, water ecology civilization, ecological forestry, and etc.

An “issuing ceremony for first batch model city of establishment of ecological civilization” was held together with the forum. Some cities which were representative, branded and typical on the ecological space, ecological economy, ecological environment, ecological life, ecological mechanism and ecological culture were gained the prize. Because Chenzhou city kept to establish forest Chenzhou city together with ecological civilization construction and actively promoted the greening project in urban and rural areas, ecological industry development and ecological civilization construction, it was honored with the title of “first batch model city of establishment of ecological civilization”. A feature film for Chenzhou city’s ecological civilization construction was broadcast on the conference.
