It was learned from Chenzhou Development and Reform Commission that till the end of this September, 690millon yuan central and Hunan provincial funds for water conservancy projects were obtained by Chenzhou city. All the funds were used to the rural water conservancy infrastructure construction, protection of water environment and water ecology, improvement of the construction of flood control and disaster reduction system, and other aspects.

In order to accelerate rural water conservancy infrastructure construction, Chenzhou city paid more efforts on the application of rural drinking water safety projects, such as submitted 2014 central budget proposal for rural drinking water safety project and obtained 155million yuan central and Hunan provincial funds for the rural drinking water safety project which was 60% higher than last year. 156 water supply projects were placed to construction, solving over 400,000 people’s drinking water safety problem.
