When reporters arrived at Jiaotang village, Sidu town, Guidong county, many people were busy in planting cole seedlings. Guo Yongxiong- one of the villagers gladly told the reporters: “all cole seeds were provided by the government for free with some subsidies, so I used 3 more mu areas to plant the cole this year.”It was learned that 2042mu cole was planned to plant in Sidu town in this year, and now all cadres and people were working together to fight for this goal.

Assist with the high yield demonstration belt along the highway and demonstration plots of Jiaotang, Dongshui, Liantang, Xilian and other villages which were with excellent cole planting experience, Sidu town promoted the hybrid and fine cole in 8 villages and provided the cole seeds for free with some subsides on the basis of planting areas.

At the meantime, cadres and agricultural technicians worked together with the villagers to guide them with the knowledge of cultivation, transplantation, and etc., which helped to promote the cole planting to be large-scale and refine and would help to increase local people’s income as well.
