It was learned that Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City investigated environmental protection and safety production of mines on November 10, 2014. Qu required that the mining industry economy should be kept sustainable sound development on the basis of holding on the bottom lines of safety production and environmental protection.

Qu Hai visited Xintianling Tungsten Company in Xintianling mining and Southern Graphite Company in Lutang mining of Beihu district to check their environmental protection and safety production condition.

Xintianling Tungsten Company was carrying out reconstruction and extension project of selecting and upgrading of development system underground, selecting plant, warehousing center, and etc. Southern Graphite Company was on the process of technical innovation of mines currently. Except two graphite mines which have been finished the technical innovation and placed to operation now, the rest coal mines and graphite mines were intensely promoting the technical innovation work.

Qu Hai was glad to see such stable performance of mine production, technical innovation, environmental protection and safety production handled out by the two mining companies. He stated that illegal and regulated safety production was the premise for the operation of a company, so great attention should be placed on the safety production and environmental protection. Safety production should be placed on the first place with enhanced awareness, perfect production system and strict accountability mechanism. The bottom line of safety production should be held to operate the safe mine. Enhanced environmental protection infrastructure construction should be carried out to accelerate the recovery of green mines and governance of environment, to ensure the qualified emission of mine and to construct ecological mine. Resource integration work and technical innovation should be further promoted, such as the reconstruction and extension project of selecting of Xintianling Tungsten Company and the technical innovation of Southern Graphite Company should be finished on time with good quality. Transformation and upgrading work should be accelerated to extend and perfect the industrial chain and increase the added value of products and to construct the deep-processing industrial cluster of mineral products. Project procedure settlement should be accelerated by selecting more aliens to coordinate with relative departments. Harmonious relations should be built among the enterprises, masses and mines to promote the harmonious mines

Qu emphasized that all the departments should place mine technical innovation as one of their key industrial projects, pay primary support on it, and fight against the illegal behaviors to grant the mines with sound construction environment. At the meantime, stricter supervision work should be handled out to prevent accidents.
