It was reported that Cui Yongping- Vice Minister of Hunan Provincial United Front Work Department led other 3 leaders of the department visited Chenzhou city on November 11, 2014 to check its special democratic supervision work on treatment of key pollution sources of Xiangjiang river basin carried out by democratic parties.

Cui and his team investigated some key pollution sources projects supervised by the democratic parties, such as Qiaokou Nitrogen Fertilizer Plant, Chenzhou Fluorine Chemistry Co., Ltd., Non-ferrous Metal Industrial Park, Shizhuyuan Chaishan tail, and etc. In 2014, assisted with the supports of Chenzhou Municipal United Front Work Department and Chenzhou Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, the democratic parties selected the supervision spots scientifically, visited the masses live near the pollution sources, investigated the pollution enterprises on-site, and then formed the investigation reports and submitted their comments and suggestions to relative departments, urged the enterprises to perfect the treatment solutions and supervise their implementation work accordingly.

Cui Yongping highly affirmed that democratic supervision work on treatment of key pollution sources of Xiangjiang river basin carried out by the democratic parties of Chenzhou city. Cui considered that all the democratic parties played sound roles on the democratic supervision and carried out good supervision work. He hoped that Chenzhou city could further unify the idea, highlight the key points and explore the methods to take best advantages of the democratic parties and non-party personages’ democratic supervision role.
