It was learned that the list the eighth China top ten well-off village was released on November 27, 2014. Xinghong village of Zixing city was enrolled in this list.

It was introduced that “China top ten well-off village” selection was initiated by Farmers Daily and sponsored jointly by some media of the capital, the Central Organization Department, Ministry of Agriculture, and etc. It was the eighth time from 2003 when it was firstly launched. Hongxing village was the exclusive one from Hunan province which was enrolled into the list at this time.

Xinghong village is located in the central part of Shuangxidong demonstration zone of overall development of urban and rural areas of Zixing city. The per capita net income of the farmers hit 12,600yuan in 2013, which was 4000yuan more than Hunan provincial average level. Currently, Shuangxidong Nongshunhua Land Transfer Cooperative has been founded in the village and over 700mu land transfer work has been done there as well. Xinyuan Agricultural Technology, Lantingxu and some other modern agricultural enterprises were introduced into the village, which mainly focused on the improvement of seedling industry and leisure and sightseeing agriculture. It was estimated to hit 786million yuan output value in 2014.
