Currently, less rain was available in Chenzhou city which caused the small hydro-electric power plants fail to generate enough power. Because of the low temperature as well, the power load increased sharply in Chenzhou city. According to the data, a new peak for power load hit by Chenzhou city of 1.623million kwh with an increasing rate of 6% on Dec.15, 2015.

On entering the winter, the power load for Chenzhou grid kept increasing. Under such situation, the State Grid Chenzhou branch carried out the scientific forecasting to arrange the winter work accordingly. Emergency solutions on high risk and key users were figured out in advance to avoid the equipment troubles caused by sudden increase of electricity consumption and severe weather condition. Special weather warning system, sound low temperature impact analysis, strict supervision for power load condition, monitoring work on heavy load and significant grid devices and adjustment plan on power load were handle out to predict, analyze and adjust the system operation, which helped to distribute the power load equally and ensure all the facilities not to operate over load. At the meantime, the staffs of the power company took active visits to the enterprises to learn the demands of production electricity, promoted the optimized model of electricity consumption, and guided the users to arrange production scientifically. Concerned for the high risk and key users, the staffs carried out the inspection of electricity safety and assisted the users to handle the governance of potential risks.

As predicted by meteorological department, Chenzhou city would keep the low temperature weather for some time in the future. According to earlier experience, the power load would increase forcefully and would hit new peak. The State Grid Chenzhou branch would enhance the scheduling and management and carry out the prediction and analysis of power load and prediction of power failure to upgrade its capacity on solving emergency accidents and scientific control, and to ensure the grid of Chenzhou city to be operated stably and safely.
