It was learned that Hunan provincial checking group of performance assessment visited Chenzhou city and investigated its performance on Dec. 29,2014. Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City delivered the working report to the checking group on behalf of Chenzhou government. Some more on-site investigation work was carried out by the group in following two days.

In 2014, though faced the difficulties as more exterior challenges, more pressure of downstream economy, and etc., Chenzhou city's economic and social development were with stable improvement and the main economic indexes were ranking in the first phalanx of Hunan province. It was estimated that Chenzhou city's GDP, scaled industry added value, public fiscal revenue and local fiscal revenue would increase 10.5%, 11.6%, 10% and 10% respectively in 2014. Working conference for Luoxiao mountainous regional development and poverty alleviation, promotion conference for Hunan province new rural construction, on-site working conference for Hunan provincial governance of over-load, on-site conference for Hunan industrial parks work and some other national and Hunan provincial conferences were held in Chenzhou city. Chenzhou city kept ranking the top place in Hunan province on the poll of educational practices of the Party's mass line for consecutive two times and the poll of comprehensive governance and working style construction for consecutive 5 years. This year, it ranked the first and third place respectively.

In 2014, the "100 well-being projects" were proceeded by Chenzhou government with the top concern for improving well-being condition and promoting harmonious development. Over 10billion yuan was placed on the carrying out the 100 well-being projects for consecutive 4 years. Most of the projects were for increasing income, improving livable living condition, improving transportation condition, and etc. 15 projects and 85 projects which were for Hunan provincial tasks and Chenzhou municipal tasks have been fully fulfilled.
