Chinese Spring Festival is coming, the migrant workers who worked hard in last year are waiting for getting their salary and return to home to enjoy the festival with their family members. In order to make sure all the migrant workers to get their salaries, protect their rights and maintain the stability of the society, eight departments of Chenzhou city- Human Resource and Social Security Administration Bureau, Public Security Bureau, Housing Bureau, Water Conservancy Bureau, Transport Bureau, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, Administrative Bureau for Industry and Commerce, and Federation of Trade Unions would carry out a special investigation on payment of farmers together from December 26, 2014 to January 30, 2015.

It was learned that a joint enforcement group has been formed by the eight departments mentioned above. It would take special investigation on the payment of farmers handled out by different units which hired the migrant workers, especially for some construction sites, processing and manufacturing, catering, service and other small and medium-sized enterprises and some individual businesses.

The contents covered into the joint investigation are as follow: whether the employers followed relative salary policies to pay the salaries for the migrant workers; whether the employers followed the provisions on minimum wages and whether the employers paid the overtime wages to the migrant workers legally; whether any enterprises operators disappeared with defaulting wages of the migrant workers; whether the employers signed labor contracts with the migrant workers, and etc. All the cases concerned for the payment of farmers should be settled down before Chinese Spring Festival, and some illegal cases be suspected of being involved into the crime of refusing to pay the labor remuneration should be transferred to the judicial office to handle. All the actions were purposely to protect the rights of labors to get their legal salaries.
