The list of “2014 Hunan provincial strong economy counties of overall well-off economy” was released recently

It was learned that the statistic and monitoring result of 2014 construction of overall well-off society was released by Hunan Provincial Overall Well-off Society Office and Hunan Provincial Statistic Bureau. The list of “2014 Hunan provincial strong economy counties of overall well-off economy” was released as well for the first time. Zixing city was enrolled into top 4 “3A”economy counties.

Different from former ranking methods, 2014 Hunan provincial strong economy counties was entitled with “overall well-off” which well indicated the change of assessment index. “Overall well-off strong economy county” does not just focus on the increase of total volume, averaged variables, and quality of economy, but also focus on the aspects of overall well-off society as democracy security, ecological civilization, and etc. The new evaluation system better meets the demands of scientific development concept and central government’s general layout of “five-in-one”(economic construction, political construction, cultural construction, social construction and ecological civilization construction- looking forward to the overall well-off society, realization of socialist modernization and great rejuvenation of Chinese nation). It is also a new change for Hunan provincial government’s implementation of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s instruction spirit of “GDP is not the exclusive assessment of performance”.

The accomplished level of overall well-off society of Zixing city was up to 89.8% in Zixing city in 2014, ranking the first place of the 47 second-class counties and districts of Hunan province and third place of Hunan province. The evaluation result for Zixing city on overall well-off society was 92.3points which was just lower than Changsha county, Liuyang city and Ningxiang county, ranking the forth place of Hunan province. The comprehensive strength of Zixing city’s county economy were enrolled into the top 4 of Hunan province. Zixing city has been awarded as Hunan provincial top 10 counties for promotion of overall well-off society, so it was no repeated award for it followed the principal of no-repeat.

In recent years, Zixing city took active actions to meet the demands of the New Normal, kept highlighting the strategic and leading place of construction of overall well-off society, played best role of guiding function of construction of overall well-off society, and specified key points to solve the problems hindered on the way of further development. Promotion of county economy was placed as the priority for the construction of overall well-off society. It placed great efforts on improving the construction of industrial park, urban area and landscapes to forge the upgraded version of county economy by focusing on upgrading the quality and efficiency of the increase of county economy. In 2014, the GDP and fiscal revenue of Zixing city were with an increase of 12.1% and 13.1% respectively, which well met the target of the increase of total volume, averaged variables, and quality of economy.
