Countdown Stage for Declaration of “Nanling National Forest Park”

Working conference for the declaration work of Nanling National Forest Park was held in the afternoon of April 14, 2015. Some experts and professors from Hunan Academy of Forestry were invited to attend the conference and issued a “working list” to relative departments. It was required to finish all the work in the list in a specified period, which indicated that the declaration of Nanling National Forest Park stepped into the countdown stage.

 

It was learned that the first review of the declaration of Nanling National Forest Park would be handled out in early of this May by some Hunan provincial experts. Once approved, the declaration files would be submitted to the State Forestry Bureau in the end of this May, and then to be proceeded to on-site investigation of the State Forestry Bureau in August.

 

Jiahe Nanling Hunan Provincial Forest Park was approved to be established in August 2012 by Hunan Provincial Government. This 3927.08hectares big park was consisted of two parts as 3610.08hectares Nanling area and 317.00hectares Jiulaofeng area. Nanling forestry farm, Panjiang town, Chetou town and Zhuquan town share the forest ownership of the park. Comprehensive treatment, preservation and utilization of stony desertification carried out by the park were demonstrative in China. Furthermore, it is with abundant natural and cultural sceneries. It is also a suburban forestry park located in the suburb area where is with unique location advantage. Once it was improved to be national forestry park, Nanling Park would become the “green lung” and “urban oxygen bar” of Jiahe people.
