It was reported that Zhang Dafang- Vice President of Hunan Provincial CPPCC led a special investigation team to visit Chenzhou city and took an investigation on its “accelerating cultivation of new emerging industry” recently.

The investigation team visited Chenzhou Export Processing Zone, Zixing city, Yongxing county and some other places. Some symposiums were held by the team to discuss some issues with the principals of enterprises, listen to the reports delivered by relative departments, and learn more details of current development condition of Chenzhou city’s new emerging industry.

In recent years, Chenzhou City kept improving strategic new emerging industries as one of the important measures for promoting industrial transfer. It placed much more attention on supporting the development of new material, energy conservation and environmental protection, electronic information, new energy, advanced device manufacturing, biological medicine, cultural innovation, and some other industries. Currently, there are 253 strategic new emerging enterprises available in Chenzhou city. The total operating revenue of them was amounted to 90.22billion yuan in 2014, up 17.9%, while the profit and added-value hit 4.07billion yuan and 32.22billion yuan respectively.

Zhang Dafang highly affirmed the achievements reached by Chenzhou city’s new emerging industry. He said both location advantages and traditional industrial advantages are favorable for Chenzhou city to improve the new emerging industry. Chenzhou should seize current chance and grasp central and Hunan provincial preferential policies to improve integrated improvement by combining together with traditional special industries. Reform work and streamline administration and institute decentralization work should be further handled out to grant sound condition for the industrial development. At the meantime, local enterprises and universities should be guided to work together, which was purposely to upgrade the innovation capacity of enterprises, cultivate a batch of leading new emerging industrial enterprises with Chenzhou features, and provide good experience for Hunan provincial development of new emerging industries.
