It was reported that the first meeting for the members of flood control headquarters of Chenzhou central urban area was held on June 4, 2015. Specified responsibility system and allocation of work were figured out for the flood control of Chenzhou central urban area.

At the meeting, more than 20 members and departments as Chenzhou Municipal Development & Reform Committee, Chenzhou Public Security Bureau, and etc. analyzed the practical condition of their flood control work separately and presented their comments and suggestions at the meeting accordingly. It was learned that till now, there are over 20 water points in Chenzhou city. 5 sections as Fire Prevention Station of Chenzhou Avenue, Suxian south road, Yuhou street, and etc. are under serious condition. The planning and design for the treatment of water points was being handled in Chenzhou city and was estimated to finish all work in this August.

It was stated at the meeting that all the members should enhance the awareness to perfect the emergency plan of flood control, should strengthen the construction of infrastructures and information system for flood control, and should follow unified scheduling and work together to ensure the life and property safety of people. It was emphasized that all departments should follow the standards of flood control to carry out the planning and construction work. At the meantime, more specified measures and stricter responsibility system should be figured out; emergency management and organization of scheduling should be enhanced; and monitoring, warning and forecasting of flood control should be perfected to post the flood control information on time.
