It was learned from Chenzhou Finance Bureau that from the beginning of 2015, 166million yuan has been collected from central government, Hunan provincial government and Chenzhou municipal government to solve the rural unsafe drinking water problem. Currently, 293 rural safe drinking water projects have been started in Chenzhou city, 228 of which have been finished, covering 77.6% of the annual task.

It was learned that Chenzhou city planned to invest 1.99billion yuan to solve 400,700 rural people’s unsafe drinking water problem in 2015 by building 294 water supply projects. The first batch of the plan had been allocated in last November, covering 268 water supply projects and 385,600 people who suffered from unsafe drinking water problem. Those projects were planned to be finished in this October. The second batch of the plan had been placed in this April, covering 26 projects and 21,500 people who suffered from unsafe drinking water problem. Till now, all the projects of the first batch have been started and 228 of them have been finished. 25 of the second batch have been started and their overall implementation scheduling was about 20%.

In order to well handle the work of rural safe drinking water and finish all the preset tasks on time, the first batch plan which covered 385,600 people was enrolled into the list of “100 well-being projects”, and a labor contest concerned for the rural drinking water safety projects was carried out in Sanshiliuwan where is located in Taojiahe basin. At the meantime, great efforts were placed on collecting capitals. Till now, 130million yuan central budget infrastructure construction capitals and 31.3287million yuan Hunan provincial supporting capitals were obtained by Chenzhou city and both of them have been paid. Followed the principal of“two-priority and two-guarantee”- giving priority to allocate the capitals for rural drinking water safety project & giving priority to place the capitals for rural drinking water safety project, and ensure local financial supporting capitals to be fully funded & ensure all projects to be promoted well without the capital problems, Chenzhou municipal finance gave special attention on the rural drinking water safety projects. 10million yuan supporting funds were allocated from Chenzhou finance in 2015 which was 6.5million yuan more than last year. 5million yuan of them was issued to the awards of the labor contest of Taojia river basin. Currently, 5 million yuan supporting funds have been fully funded.
