It was learned from the promotion conference for the construction of Hunan style cultural tourism small town that 12 small towns were enrolled into the list of first batch. The hot spring small town- Reshui town of Rucheng county of Chenzhou city was enrolled into this list.

It was introduced that Hunan style cultural tourism small town refers to the cultural tourism regional complex with the unique features of Hunan cultural, strong attraction of tourism and reception capacity. It can be the organic town, town or some dependant regions, and also can be scaled tourism real estate, vocational village, theme cultural park, historic cultural village or street, and etc. which are with unique cultural connotation and tourism value and can be capable to provide catering, accommodation, travel, shipping, entertainment, and etc.

The list for the first batch was as follow: dark green tea town- Huangshaping town of Anhua town, Yichang city; Hunan embroidery town- Shaping town of Kaifu district of Changsha city; Qing Dynasty’s bamboo slips town- Liye town of Longshan town of Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture; china town- China Cultural City of Liling city of Zhuzhou city; border town- Biancheng town (Chatong) of Huayuan town of Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture; female script town- Shangjiangxu town of Jiangyong town of Yongzhou city; terraced town- Shuiche town of Xinhua county of Loudi city; Tongge town- Huangdu Dong Cultural Village of Tongdao county of Huaihua city; Huayao town- Yao minority town of Longhui county of Shaoyang city; Day lily town- Xuzhou town of Hengshan county of Hengyang city; hot spring county- Reshui town of Rucheng county of Chenzhou City; and Tujia town- Tianzishan town of Wulingyuan district of Zhangjiajie city.

Currently, the construction of Hunan style cultural tourism small town was being promoted rapidly by Hunan Tourism Bureau and Hunan Cultural Industrial Reform and Development Office. In following 1-3 years, all the Hunan style cultural tourism small towns would be capable to receive 500,000 visitors annually, which would contribute to 50million yuan tourism comprehensive income, provide 300 job vacancies, and drive 1000 local people to be wealthy.
