On Oct. 9, 2015, Yang Yongde-Deputy Director of Yangtze River Water Resources Protection Bureau led an investigation team to check Chenzhou’s pilot construction of water ecological civilization city.

From 2012, especially July, 2013 after Chenzhou city was enrolled into the first batch of pilot cities of construction of water ecological civilization city, Chenzhou city played the best advantages of water to carry out the construction work firstly in Hunan province, which helped to explore some ways of the construction. 6 paths which well met the practical condition of Chenzhou city were as follow: guiding the urban area to explore more rivers and lakes as Leishui, Dongjiang lake, Chongling river, and etc.; building some dams to store water and constructing wetland parks as Wangxian lake, Suxian lake, and etc.; building some more water reservoirs; connecting water systems together; improving hot spring construction; and carrying out the treatment of water pollution.

The investigation team highly affirmed the water civilization construction of Chenzhou city and considered all work was carried out scientifically and forcefully. Great changes and achievements were gained on the process of the construction of water civilization city, which helped to reach the win-win situation of social and economic effects.

Lei Xiaoda- Deputy Mayor of Chenzhou City attended the activity. Principals of 5 pilot cities and counties as Changsha city, Chenzhou city, Zhuzhou city, Fenghuang county and Zhijiang county were present at the conference and delivered speeches there.
