It was purposely to promote the construction of green Chenzhou

It was learned from working conference for 2016 Chenzhou afforestation which was held in Linwu county that in order to promote the construction of green Chenzhou, 310,000mu afforestation work should be finished in coming winter-spring period.

According to the afforestation tasks placed by Hunan provincial department, artificial afforestation should be 310,000mu, project of closing hillsides to facilitate afforestation for the non-forest land and open forest land should be 300,000mu, forest tending should be 700,000mu( including 220,000mu reconstruction of low yield forest and 480,000mu middle-age and young forest cultivation) . At the mean time, some tasks placed by Chenzhou city as 3459mu upgrading of Xihe landscape, 11,000mu precious species, 2112.2kms ecological firebreak belt, 137,000mu greening for “three difficulties land”, 1.788million mu young afforested land and middle-age and young forest cultivation, and 813,000mu upgrading of arterial traffic.

Guiyang, Yongxing, Linwu and Yizhang county would be kept as the key counties to carry out the afforestation work in the coming winter-spring period and fulfill the 310,000mu tasks of artificial afforestation and slash reforestation. More attention would be placed on the “decoration” work of forest ecological landscape on the basis of the afforestation work, especially on upgrading of forest ecological landscape of 11 arterial traffic lines, upgrading of Xihe river, governance of “hole”, adjustment of forest structure and construction of ecological firebreak belt and barren mountain.
