When reporters arrived at Beixi village of Linwu county, some purchasers were busy on checking and weighing purple yams there. It was introduced that there are 1400mu purple yam production base available in the village, and 5450mu are expanded in other villages. Due to the high quality of the purple yam, the production base was honored as national demonstration town and county project of “one village, one product”.

Thanks to Chenzhou city’s acceleration of transformation of agricultural development model and promotion of transformation and upgrading of agriculture, great achievements were gained for Chenzhou city’s agriculture industry from the beginning of 2015, no matter on general scale, industrial structure, or development quality. The grain and vegetable production were being kept stably, fruit and tea production areas were being expanded continuously, and agricultural products’ quality and safety were being upgraded gradually. The total production area of grain was amounted to 5.26million mu and was estimated to be yield with 2million tons grain. The total planting area of vegetable was estimated to be 1.60million mu with the production capacity of 2.80million tons. 30,000mu fruit and 42,700mu tea were newly planted, up 5% and 11.55% respectively. The qualification rate for the detection and supervision of agricultural products was over 98% which was the best among earlier years.
