It was reported that Gong Fengxiang- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee visited Linwu county and Jiahe county on November 11, 2015 and investigated their adjustment of administrative division. Gong stated that all departments should try best to fulfill the tasks on time.

There are 9 towns, 9 counties (including one minority county) and 3 forest farms, 9 communities, 289 administrative villages, and 400,000 people in Linwu county. According to the spirit of the adjustment of administrative division, Linwu county would cut 5 towns and counties and 85 administrative villages. In order to well handle the adjustment work, Linwu county dispatched 4 special investigation teams to collect the suggestions and comments from different sides, which helped to lay sound foundation for the reform.

Jiahe county’s total amount of towns and counties would be deducted to 10 from earlier 13 ones, and administrative villages would be deducted to 171 from earlier 242 ones. Principally speaking, once the reform settled, all the towns and counties would be with over 30,000 population and 50square kilometers and the administrative village would be with 1500 population.

Gong Fengxiang highly affirmed the adjustment work handled out by the two counties and listened to their comments and suggestions carefully during his investigation. He also answered their questions concerned for some relative policies. Gong emphasized that the adjustment work is a significant reform concerned for the construction of grassroots power and the development of rural society and economy, so all departments should try best to promote the work and ensure all tasks to be fulfilled on time with good quality.
