It was learned that Beihu district released 9.82million yuan subsidies for 2015 protection of farmland productivity via the financial subsidy system to all agricultural farmers who have cultivated land contract right. All the funds were issued to the farmers’ debit cards so that they can get it from Rural Commercial Bank accordingly.

According to the spirit of some files issued by the State Financial Ministry and the State Agriculture Ministry, Hunan Province carried out the pilot work of reform of agricultural subsidy in 2015. The “three subsidies” (e.g. direct subsidy for agricultural farmers, subsidy for growing superior grain, and comprehensive subsidy for agricultural capitals) were merged to be “subsidy for protection of farmland productivity” which was specified to be used on the protection of farmlands and appropriate scale management of grain.

The subsidies will be issued accordingly on the basis of actual planting areas within tax assessment and sowing areas of double cropping rice. All areas will be verified by remote sending monitoring. The subsidies for protection of farmland productivity are as follow: 105yuan/mu/year for one-season crop within tax assessment and 175yuan/mu/year for double cropping rice within tax assessment (70yuan/mu/year for double cropping rice beyond tax assessment).
