It was learned that after 3-day strict checking of the experts group of General Administration of Quality Supervision, the State (Hunan) Quality Control Center of Non-ferrous and Precious Metals which was built by Chenzhou city passed the approval successfully and was expected to be placed to operation before 2016 Chinese Spring Festival.

Besides listing to the working report of preparation and construction of the State (Hunan) Quality Control Center of Non-ferrous and Precious Metals, the experts group followed the requirements specified on “Guidelines for the construction and assessment of the state quality control center” and some other files to handle the comprehensive assessment accordingly. The group considered that the center well met the advanced standards of the state and agreed to pass the approval.

The center was approved to start the construction work by General Administration of Quality Supervision in August 2013. In the two years, Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Chenzhou Government paid highly attention on the construction work. A construction leader team was set up with the leader of Qu Hai-Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City. The special conferences were held repeatedly to study the construction work of the center. Furthermore, it was enrolled into both Hunan provincial and Chenhzou municipal “12th five-year” plan outlines, which helped to grant great supports on utilization of lands and scientific facilities. In this October, the center passed the “three-in-one” review of lab certification and accreditation, which certified it to be capable to cover 570 inspection standards of 386 parameters, including 87 products of 3 categories as non-ferrous metals & minerals, precious metals & minerals, and other non-ferrous metals & minerals. Till now, the center hosted 12 major scientific researches as “Research and application of key measurement techniques for rare and precious metals of lead and zinc minerals” and attended the formulation (revision) of 20 state, region and industry standards such as “Colorimetric determination of carbon vanadium”. The approval of the center indicated that the over 2-year construction of the center was fulfilled successfully.
