It was learned from technical departments of Chenzhou city that 2015 Accreditation Council of China’s Non-ferrous Metals Industry Scientific and Technical Award was held by China’s Non-ferrous Industry Association recently. 11 technical achievements were enrolled into the final evaluation. “Key technology and application for the separation and recycling of rare and precious metals in complexed secondary resources” which was submitted by Central South University, Yongxing Rongpeng Metals Co.,Ltd., and Yongxing Xinyu Environmental Protection Nickel Co., Ltd. was awarded with the first prize of 2015 China’s non-ferrous science and technology award.

China’s Non-ferrous Metals Industry Scientific and Technical Award which is the exclusive national level scientific and technical prize of China’s non-ferrous metals industry is an important platform for displaying the industrial achievements, encouraging innovation, creating cultural atmosphere and cultivating talents. About 2700 achievements concerned about mining, smelting, processing, new material, major equipment, energy saving and environmental protection, and some other fields were prized by the award from the date of its setting, which is significant to promote the development, transformation and upgrading of the non-ferrous metals industry. So it is highly accepted by the industry. It is the 15th time for the appraisal of this award in 2015. More than 256 items were submitted to the evaluation, 196 of which were accepted.

It was introduced that all the experts of the assessment panel considered that the project formulated innovative engineering and reached the separation and recycling of rare and precious metals in complexed secondary resources and established project demonstration by the research and development of key technologies. The new engineering is with the features of well-adapted, advanced technical-economic indicator, friendly to environment, sound expectation of promotion and application, and international advanced level technology.
