Chenzhou Urban and Rural Residents’ Income Increase Steadily

It was learned from the State Statistics Bureau Chenzhou Team that Chenzhou city kept promoting the principals as stable increase, adjustment of structure, acceleration of reform, and improvement of well-being, and reached stable and fast economic and social development. According to the survey of urban and rural residents’ income and expenditure, Chenzhou urban and rural residents’ income increased steadily and its improvement of well-off society was upgraded as well.

 

In 2015, the per capita disposable income of residents was amounted to 18,108yuan, ranking the above average place of Hunan province for the absolute number of residents’ income. The income of the residents in poverty stricken area increased rapidly. Beuhu district, Suxian district, and Zixing city’s per capita disposable income of residents was over 20,000yuan, while Anren, Guidong, and Rucheng county was less than 13,000yuan. Beihu district’s urban and rural residents’ per capital disposable income ranked the first place among all the counties and districts of Chenzhou city, while Guidong county ranked the final place with the amount of 15,872yuan and 7,081yuan respectively. The rural residents’ per capita capital disposable income was increased fastest in the poverty stricken areas, Linwu, Yizhang, Rucheng, Guidong and Beihu district of which were higher than 10%. It indicated that Chenzhou city’s accurate poverty stricken work was carried out well to promote the rapid increase of poverty stricken areas’ residents’ income.

 

The gap between urban and rural residents’ income was kept being narrowed in 8 consecutive years. In 2015, the ratio of urban and rural residents’ income was 2.17:1 which was 0.02 lower than 2.19:1 of 2014 and 0.87 lower than 3.04:1 of 2008. That decrease indicated that the gap between urban and rural residents was being narrowed gradually.

 

According to the measurement of index system of well-off society, the Gini coefficient of Chenzhou city was 0.3621which was 0.0133 lower than 0.3754 of 2014; Engel coefficient was 33.3% which was 1.2% lower than 34.5% of 2014; control rate of urban and rural residents’ living space was 67.3% (urban was 59.2% and rural was 70.7%) ; and proportion of urban and rural residents’ expenditure on entertainment was 6.9% of the total consumption expenditure, 1.4% higher than 5.5% of 2014. According to the data, genuine achievements were reached by Chenzhou city on overall development of urban and rural areas and construction of well-off society that both urban and rural residents were benefited with the results and the well-off society was further improved.
