It was learned that Linwu Water Supplies Bureau carried regular “tests” for 27 newly consolidated reservoirs and their safety performance recently and presented relative solutions for them.

During the inspection trip, the technicians of the bureau found that the spillway of Fenshui’ao water reservoir which was newly consolidated was blocked by men, which would badly affect the safety of the dam and people living in the downstream for its failure of flood discharge. The bureau organized the officials of relative departments and Xiyao Lvgu National Forest Park Administration Office to demolish the block. Currently, the water level of the reservoir dropped 3.5meters, which recovered to safe level. During this investigation, 7 potential risks were discovered by the group and all were rectified afterward.
