On the consideration of the potential losses which may cause for the sweet oranges under the chilling weather, Yongxing agricultural departments organized some skillful technicians to guide the farmers to protect sweet oranges with more techniques.

Jiang Songqing- one of the planters of sweet orange of Chengdong village, Bianjiang town kept handling the anti-freezing work on the fields in recent days. Assisted with the sound guidance of the technicians, he finished the prevention work days before the arrival of cold wave. It was introduced that the lowest temperature that the sweet orange trees can bare is -5℃. If the trees kept being exposed under the atmosphere below zero degree centigrade, the leaves of the trees may be badly affected, hence affects the yield of next year. Currently, Yongxing agricultural departments have settled the deployment on preventing cold wave and provided sufficient technologies for the planters, which was purposely to minimize the loss caused by the cold wave.
