It was learned from rural working conference handled out by Hunan Provincial Party Committee that Guiyang county and Guidong county of Chenzhou city were awarded as “2015 advanced counties of Hunan construction of socialism new countryside”, and 6 villages as Huangjia village of Rucheng county, Jiatang village of Guidong county, Songbai village of Yongxing county, Gaoping village of Suxian district, Puxia village of Linwu county, and Sanguan village of Guiyang county were awarded as “Hunan provincial demonstration villages of beautiful rural construction”. Chenzhou city gained most awards on the conference and presented typical speech on overall development of urban and rural areas.

In recent years, Chenzhou city followed the target of well-off society and general concept of overall development of urban and rural areas to carry out regular housing, environment treatment, and ecological construction and explore more rural construction measures actively. Its regular housing handled out in rural area was highly affirmed by Xu Shousheng, Du Jiahao, and some other Hunan provincial leaders, and was submitted to the State Council Office and Central Reform Office as the typical case of Hunan province and popularized in some central and Hunan provincial media as “Hunan TV News”, “Farmers’ Daily”, “Economy Daily” and etc.

At the meantime, “lighting up Chenzhou” action was fully implemented to promote the projects of greening, purifying, lighting, beautifying, and ordering, which greatly improved rural living condition. The villages used to be dirty were upgraded to be tidy and beautiful village with perfect supporting facilities. Currently, there are 156 Chenzhou municipal and above level new rural demonstration villages, including 31 Hunan provincial level ones.
