It was learned that a special training for preventing H7N9 bird flu was handled out in Rucheng county before 2016 Chinese Lunar New Year. The deans of villages and towns’ health centers, officers of ant-epidemic departments, doctors of fever clinics, and major officials of county level medical and health units attended the training.

Recently, 5 people were confirmed to be infected by H7N9 virus in Hunan province. More population flow and gathering will be occurred around the Spring Festival, so Rucheng county took the prevention of epidemic as an important political task and handled some measures accordingly. The joint working mechanism among sanitary, herding, forestry, industry and commerce, and some other departments were established to enhance the supervision in live-bird markets. 24-hour shift and leadership mechanism was strictly implemented in the medical and health units to handle the fever clinic, report, pre-examination and triage, medical waste handling, strain administration, and other work.

At the meantime, the county played the best advantages of mobile phone, TV, government web to popularize the health information and guide people to treat with the epidemic rationally.

The county would check the prevention work handled out by relative departments around Spring Festival. The departments and leaders failed to prevent the epidemic would be issued to accountability.
