80,000 Migrant Workers Find Job in their Home Towns

“It is amazing of finding job in the hometown. Not only salary is similar to that when I worked in Guangdong province, but also I can take care of my family as well,” gladly said Luo Xiaohong who was enrolled by Hunan Longcheng Electronics Co., Ltd. with salary of 3000yuan/month. The 38-year old woman was a laid-off of Guiyang Led Zinc Silver Mine and once worked in Dongguan city, Guangdong province over 10 years. It was introduced that more than 80,000 migrant workers found jobs in the county via job fairs, entrepreneurship, and other ways assisted by the government.

 

In recent years, Guiyang county built over 1.30million square meters standard workshops by relying on the improvement of industrial parks. At the meantime, it took active actions to solve some problems as element supply, implementation of policies, administration approval, and etc. hindered on the way of further development of enterprises. Sound development condition attracted series enterprises to settle down in the county. Till now, there are 185 enterprises available in the industrial parks of Guiyang county, including 79 above scale enterprises, contributing 12,000 job vacancies to local people.

 

Guiyang county also well seized the chance of the establishment of national incubator base to set entrepreneurship project bank and expert guidance group for entrepreneurship. More than 100 entrepreneurship projects which need small amount of investment but operational and valuable were collected by the county as key supporting projects. 44 enterprises have been settled down in the county’s entrepreneurship incubator base, helping to provide jobs for 6807 people. At the meantime, the county would regularly recommend some projects which need small amount of investment but profitable to the farmers after relative inspection, and projects are authorized to be approved in priority. Special funds for the entrepreneurship handled by migrant workers who return hometown were established by the county, which helped to drive the employment by entrepreneurship.

 

Furthermore, the county took the best advantages of some platforms as employment training center, technician training school, and etc. to hold skill trainings for the transfer of rural labors, benefiting 15,000people, which helped more than 10,000people to find new jobs. Furthermore, it well played the function of labor market and public work exchange to collect the information of enterprises and farmers and handle out the docking work between enterprises and migrant workers.
