It was reported that working conference for Chenzhou education and senior school teaching was held in Chenzhou city on March 3,2016. Gong Fengxiang- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee hosted the conference and delivered a speech there.

Series favorable policies for the development of Chenzhou education were released on the conference, including the one that Chenzhou plans to handle free senior school education gradually. It was learned that Zixing city, Linwu and Guiyang county have already handled the free senior school education. From 2016, this policy will be promoted to be handled in the whole city. At the meantime, the long-term mechanism for prominent contribution award will be set up in Chenzhou city. 10 prominent contribution principles, teachers, and edu-aid staffs of each will be selected and rewarded with 100,000yuan/person every year. The schools whose principals won the prominent contribution principle award will be issued with one million yuan rewards accordingly. 5million yuan special financial funds will be set for the rewards for education quality.

In order to solve the problem of large class in central urban area, a three-year action will be carried out in Chenzhou city from 2016. 1.1billion yuan will be invested on 21 school projects which aims to provide 35,000 more schooling vacancies for the students. In 2016, the preliminary work for 7 schools as Hanxi Primary School will be launched and 9 projects as Chenzhou 15th Middle School and etc. which will provide 10,920 schooling vacancies will be fulfilled. At the meantime, the plans of three-year action for the counties and districts' settling of large class problems will be figured out with the guidance of Chenzhou city. The three-year action for solving large class problems handled out in Guidong and other three national level and Hunan provincial level poverty stricken counties will be supported by the city.

Gong Fengxiang stated that education is a long term work concerned for future of our country. Social and economic development can only be improved with the assistance of talents and education.

Gong required that all departments should well understand the significance of education to upgrade the quality of education, promote the development of education, and grant sound environment for education.
