Output Value of 52 Taiwan-Funded Enterprises Hits 6.3 Billion Yuan

It was reported that Sun Zhaolin- Deputy Director of Taiwan-HK-Macau Department of State Ministry of Commerce investigated Chenzhou city’s Taiwan trade on March 9, 2016 and learned detailed condition of Taiwan merchants in Chenzhou city. 

 

There are 52 Taiwan-funded enterprises available in Chenzhou city. Their total output value was amounted to 6.3billion yuan in 2015, accounting for 3.1% of Chenzhou GDP. Over 60million yuan profits were gained by them, paying 41.17million yuan taxes and providing 9691 jobs for local people. At the meantime, the total volume for Taiwan trade was USD71.19million in 2015 with an increasing trend year by year.

 

In the following symposium, the investigation team listened carefully to the reports concerned for Chenzhou city’s export-oriented economy, especially the upgrading and transformation of Taiwan-funded enterprises and Taiwan trade. Some representatives of Taiwan-funded enterprises presented some problems hindered on the way of their further development in Chenzhou city and proposed some suggestions for national, Hunan provincial and Chenzhou municipal policies.

 

Sun Zhaolin stated that some suggestions and comments proposed by Chenzhou city on Taiwan trade and Taiwan-funded enterprises are valuable and significant for further development of Taiwan trade. He hoped that Chenzhou city can keep supporting the Taiwan-funded enterprises in future and provide better services for them to solve the problems.

 

Luo Shuangfeng- Deputy Minister of Hunan Provincial Commerce Ministry and Liping- Member of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and First Deputy Mayor of Chenzhou City accompanied Sun with the investigation.
