Guidong Becomes Labor Base for China Railway Group

“Many thanks for China Railway Group to provide such precious chance for us. It is greatly helpful for us to increase the income and find better job,” Wang Jiandong who is a registered poverty stricken people of Shangdong village, Oujiang town, Guidong county said excitedly to reporters on the opening ceremony of training course for accurate poverty alleviation operated by China Railway Group.

 

On the opening ceremony, China Railway Co., Ltd. signed a “framework agreement on establishing labor base” with Guidong county, on which Guidong county would be improved as a labor base for China Railway Group’s accurate poverty alleviation. The group will give priority for Guidong county to provide the job vacancies for the registered poverty stricken people of Guidong county.

 

In 2016, China Railway group launched “double-one-hundred project” for the registered poverty stricken people in Guidong county. According to their decision, about 100 poverty stricken people will be delivered to China Railway Group every year and professional training course will be held for about 100 people every year as well. Currently, the first training course for 50 people were designated for the training of grab driver, electric welder, electrician, bridge builder, cold working man, and etc. All the qualified people will be issued with intermediate and higher level professional certificates after 2-month training and will be dispatched to relative posts of the group.

 

It was introduced that China Railway Group has kept supporting Guidong county for 14 consecutive years till now. During the 14 years, the group placed over 11.844million yuan poverty alleviation funds to the county, as well as over 2million yuan goods and materials, which were used for the improvement of the county’s education, sanitary, infrastructure, and poverty alleviation. It helped to build and reconstruct 17,000square meters school buildings and provide edu-aid funds for more than 4000 poverty stricken students.
