Guidong Finishes the Merger of Organizational Villages

It was learned that all the party organizations and secretary designed for the organizations of newly merged villages (communities) of Guidong county were ready in the end of this March, which indicated the merger of organizational villages has been completed successfully in the county. After the merger, the villages of Guidong county were decreased from 145 to 102 ones, accounting for a decreasing rate of 29.8%.

 

On the merging process, Guidong county mobilized local people to propose the comments and suggestions about the work via conference, TV, website, newspaper, Wechat, column, opening letter, and etc. Based on the tenets of pragmatic condition, development, rule of law, overall merging, and strong-oriented, it figured out relative merging solution on considering small town development, accurate poverty alleviation, relocation, industrial development, and etc.

 

At the meantime, the merging solution was approved on consensus of the representatives of villagers who attended the leadership conference, signed and fingerprinted the solution. According to the statistic, the average participating rate of the villagers was 93.69% and the average approving rate was 98.44%.

 

The secretaries of new party organizations of the 30 new villagers were selected from the party members of the villages who are more capable and with better experience, so that they can lead the new villages to be operated smoothly and harmoniously on this transition period.

 

In the end of this February, the merging solution for the second batch 9 towns and counties was approved on the 39th executive meeting of Guidong Government, which was 3 months and 4 months ahead of Chenzhou municipal and Hunan provincial schedule, respectively. The merging rate for the organizational village with less than 500population was 100%, while the one with less than 1000 population (including the one less than 500) was 77.5%.
