It was reported that Chenzhou city signed the strategic cooperation agreement with CNBM Investment Co., Ltd. on the symposium concerned about promotion of industry-university cooperation and improvement of Hunan “13th five-year plan”. According to the agreement, the company will place 5billion yuan on the construction of Graphite Industrial Park in Chenzhou city during the “13th five-year plan” period, especially on deepening processing of graphite, technological research and development center, and some other projects. Yi Pengfei- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City attended the conference.

CNBM Investment Co., Ltd. is one of the subsidiary corporations of CNBM which is a central enterprise monitored by State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and a sound strategic partner of Chenzhou industrial development. In January, 2011, CNBM signed strategic investment agreement with Chenzhou city and established South Graphite Company in Chenzhou city which is mainly on integration and deepening processing of graphite resources. Till now, South Graphite Company has placed about 3.5billion yuan there, which helped to finish the integration of mine rights and improvement of technologies and launch the construction of graphite deepening processing park.

The newly signed contract includes the item that CNBM Investment Co., Ltd. places investment on the construction Graphite Industrial Park in Chenzhou city, mainly on following key projects: deepening processing of graphite, technological R&D center, 200,000-ton/year graphite flotation purification and processing, hydrofluoric acid purification with annual production capacity of 100,000tons, hyperthermia purification graphite production line with annual production capacity of 50,000tons, lithium ion battery cathode materials production line with annual production capacity of 20,000tons, isostatic pressing formed graphite project with annual production capacity of 15,000tons, graphene and products line with annual production capacity of 200tons, infrastructures of the industrial park, and etc. All the projects would be helpful to upgrade the added value of graphite products, establish deepening processing industrial chain, improve the transformation development of graphite industry, and forge Chenzhou city to be famous “city of graphite” nationwide.

In order to promote the cooperation, Chenzhou city would provide sound supports on planning, policies, environment, and etc. for the company, and grant it with sound construction condition.
