Ranking first place of Hunan province

It was reported that Zixing Aquatic Products Breeds Farm was qualified to be 2015 national demonstration of modern fishery and breeding industry, which was the exclusive one from Hunan province in that year. Till then, there were 4 Hunan provincial and above level fishery and breeding industry demonstrations available in Chenzhou city, ranking the first place of Hunan province.

In recent years, Chenzhou Animal Husbandry, Veterinary, and Aquatic Products Bureau enhanced the investment attractions and greatly improved the development of fishery and breeding industries. On the basis of upgrading of production capacity of 4 major aquacultured fishes, a batch of characteristic fishery and breeding farms were cultivated by Chenzhou city. There are 8000square meters big workshops are built in Yizhang Hongcheng Aquatic Breeding Farm which is the largest breeding farm and factory-like breeding field of channa argus in south China. Its annual output volume of different species of fries as channa argus, polyodon spathala, sea eel, cyprinus carpio, and etc. were over 200million ones. Chenzhou Xingui is the largest breeding farm of loach in Hunan province. Chenzhou Aquatic Scientific and Research Institute established a scientific research base with some Guangzhou merchants. Artificial production of sturgeon which was used wild sturgeon of Heilongjiang province was carried out successfully in Chenzhou city. Currently, there are 19 fishery and breeding farms available in Chenzhou city, four of which are Hunan provincial and above level demonstrations, ranking the first place of Hunan province.
