It was reported that in this late May, Cao Jianping- Vice Chairman of Chenzhou Municipal CPPCC led some officials of subordinate departments to investigate Haoshao village, Jinzixian town, Anren town. Besides investigating poverty alleviation and industrial development, the team delivered 105 sets of rehabilitation facilities to the disabled and aged people of the village.

The poverty alleviation team which was dispatched by Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee arrived at the village in last September. By conquering the difficulties as remote location, poor economic foundation, and weak social projects, the team members played their best roles to collect more than 1.4million yuan funds and finished “ten-one” project there. They are maintenance of one library, repairing of one road, beautifying of one village square, repairing of one dangerous bridge, construction of one tunnel, visiting of one batch of poverty stricken people, construction of one breeding farm, setting up of one sanitary team, plantation of one batch of trees, and introduce of one grower.

Liaowan Bridge is the exclusive channel for getting entrance into the two groups of the village. For its poor condition lacking of maintenance in so long time, only motorbikes and tricycles can get access through the bridge, which badly affected the construction work being handled out there. On learning the situation, the working team repaired the dangerous bridge, which enabled the truck to be available via the bridge and solved the narrow-neck problem hindered further development of the village accordingly.

On the process of repairing the bridge, the working team obtained more capitals to repair the roads and tunnels which were destroyed by flood.

Haoshan Library of the village was suffered from leakage. The open drain on the side of the square was a potential risk for villagers, especially at night. On learning the situation, the team repaired the library, placed a cover on the drain, and upgraded the square as well. Now, the square becomes a leisure center for the villagers.

The key point for poverty alleviation is the improvement of industry. Once settled down on the village, the team focused on the key point and placed large amounts of investment on the development of cattle farm, tea industry, plantation of fruit trees, and etc. Currently, a 120-mu pollution free ecological vegetable base is being developed together by a merchant from Huadu city, Guangdong province and local villagers. Duan Deyao who is the Secretary of the Party Branch of Haoshan Village said: “The working team is the pillar of our village. We can fulfil all tough tasks with the help of them. ”
