Recently, the fish-farming demonstration base of Dongsha village and Wuyi village were busy on granting fries of grass flower carp freely to some poverty stricken families. It was introduced that 180,000 fries were granted to more than 100 families, covering 350mu paddy fields. It was estimated that more than 350,000yuan income can be gained by the families.

Rucheng county played the best advantages of its ecological environment and improve the fish-farming on paddy field as one of the key industries for accurate poverty alleviation. It issued relative support polices and hired some experts from Chenzhou Animal Husbandry, Vet, and Aquatic Bureau to handle guidance of cultivation on site, which highly ensured the harvest of the cultivation and benefited the farmers with real profits. According to the county’s plan, it will improve this fish-farming industry to be over 5000mu areas and help to lift local people out of poverty.
