It was reported that the scheduling conference for Chenjiang river pollution control & Xihe river comprehensive treatment (second phase) was held on July 6, 2016. Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City required that the comprehensive treatment should be promoted steadily orientated towards the problems.

The reporting film of the Chenjiang river pollution control was watched by the attendees and the reports about the collection and treatment of domestic sewage were checked by them, as well as the progress of the comprehensive treatment of Xihe river.

As stated by Qu, all departments should unify the understanding concerned about the ecological treatment. It is a complicated systematic project for the upgrading of city, improvement of people's life, promotion of industries and undertaking industrial transfer, as well as important fundamental work for the development of popular tourism, optimization of living condition, and improvement of international leisure tourism city. It is also one of the key contents of Hunan provincial assessment. So all should try best to promote it.

Qu emphasized that the deadline of all targets should be specified as well. Keeping improving water quality of the lake and rivers should be kept as the general target along with the implementation of strict accountability mechanism. Chenjiang river's water quality should be upgraded as soon as possible, while the water quality of Liangjiawan section, Chenjiang river should meet standards of national class 3 within three months. The cleaning work of Chenjiang river and Xishuihe river should reach preliminary effects before this September. In the meantime, air pollution control should be well handled to ensure the air quality to be improved better.

Qu Hai emphasized the all work should be orientated from the problems to ensure the rectification work to be handled out well. Industrial sewage should be controlled and domestic sewage should be well treated via the distribution. More attention should be placed on ecological environment protection to improve the air pollution control. heavy metal pollution control, and ecological projects.
