“Hello, can I have a look of your driver qualification license?” It was reported that a special action for regulation of tourist transportation was carried out by Chenzhou Transportation Management Center recently, which was purposely to check the safety condition of tourist buses.

When reporters arrived at the inter-city bus station, the buses of Hailong Tourist Bus Transportation Co., Ltd. were parked in the station. Yin Hongfei who is one of the staffs of Tourist Transportation Department of Chenzhou Transportation Management Center was checking the details with drivers. Each driver was distributed with a checking form listed with the car plate, driver name, checking contents, and etc. It was introduced by Yin, this checking work was launched on June 27, 2016, including the key contents of safety facilities of tourist buses, safety measures of tourist transportation company, and etc.

After allotting all the forms, the checking work was started accordingly. The staffs checked some facilities as wedge, skid chain, emergency hammer, fire extinguisher, emergency exit, seats, and etc. firstly, as well as the security video afterward.
As told by Yin, it is important that the bus is facilitated with safe devices, but the key point is that all passengers are aware of the application of devices. So the driver is required to display the security video before departure, which is purposely to acknowledge passengers with the operation of devices.

Besides the details mentioned above, checking of drivers is also one of the key checking contents. “Please recite the contents of ‘five-no, two-ensure’”. After checking all the devices of the bus, the staff asked the driver to recite following answers of above question: no over speed, no over load, no drowsy driving, no phone call, and no switch-off of monitor system, and ensure seat belt fasten, ensure passenger safety.

Yin said: “the preliminary checking of 3 tourist transportation enterprises has been finished till now. According to the checking, roughly speaking, the safety condition of Chenzhou tourist buses is good, but some buses are not facilitated with enough emergency hammers or with other problems. All of them were required to rectify accordingly on the checking site.”

As introduced by another staff of the checking team, the key contents of the safety measures are potential risk control and rectification data, emergency rescue plan and rehearsal record, dynamic monitor mechanism, driver safety management system, and etc. All the problems found on the checking process would be required to rectify immediately and would follow-up the rectification work as well.
